Privacy Policy

Cramly stores the account, course, and study data required to generate personalized materials from your uploads. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, where it goes, and how you can delete it.

Short version:

We collect the data needed to run your account, process your uploads, generate study materials, deliver subscriptions, and provide support. We do not sell personal data.

Information We Collect

We collect account details such as your name, email address, password hash, subscription plan, and basic profile information.

We store the materials you upload to Cramly, including lecture PDFs, slide decks, notes, audio recordings, extracted text, generated lecture notes, flashcards, quiz questions, tutor messages, and progress data such as quiz attempts, streaks, and completion history.

If you use paid features, we also store subscription metadata needed to verify and maintain your access, including Apple transaction and renewal status records for iOS subscriptions.

We may also collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser details, request logs, crash information, and notification tokens when a platform requests push permission.

How We Use Information

We use your data to create and deliver the service you asked for: organizing uploaded materials, generating quizzes, notes, flashcards, podcasts, and tutor responses, syncing your account across devices, enforcing plan limits, and restoring your data when you sign back in.

We also use data to prevent abuse, investigate failures, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

AI Processing And Service Providers

Cramly uses third-party infrastructure and AI providers to operate the product. That includes hosting, storage, analytics and logging, Apple for in-app subscriptions, Expo for mobile push delivery, and AI model providers used to process your content and generate study materials.

Uploaded course materials and prompts may be transmitted to those providers only as needed to generate the features you use. That is not optional for the core product. If you do not want your uploaded material processed by AI providers, do not upload it to Cramly.

Retention

We keep your account data and study content while your account remains active so your subjects, generated materials, and study history continue to work.

When you delete your account, we delete or schedule deletion of your account data and associated study content from the product, subject to limited retention required for billing, fraud prevention, security, backups, and legal compliance.

Your Choices

You can update profile information from within the app and you can delete your account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your Cramly data, but it does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Apple billing must be canceled separately in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Children

Cramly is intended for students and other users who are old enough to form a binding agreement in their jurisdiction. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes And Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. If a change materially affects how we handle personal data, we will update the effective date on this page.
